Christmas In NC!

We have been super busy preparing for Christmas with Jeremy's family and heading to NC to celebrate the Holidays with mine. I have lots of pictures to post and catch up on, but left my adapter in KY. Pictures to come when we return. Noah is now cutting his 7th tooth for Christmas. My, oh my, this child is cutting teeth everyday. He now has 4 on the bottom and 3 on top. Needless to say, there have been some midnight cries, and cuddling with mommy and daddy to make Noah bug feel better. I could cuddle anytime with my sweet boy!!

So far, the Christmas Vacation and trip has been a blast and a time for much needed rest and relaxation. We have enjoyed good food and Christmas treats galore. We took Noah to see Santa last night, and as we expected he gave him the stare down treatment that Noah does when he meets someone new. He has to scope everything out before he starts talking or breaks a smile. He kept an arms length between him and Santa. Even Santa kept making comments about Noah giving him the stiff arm. It took Jeremy, me, Amy, Sara, Nana, and Papa to call Noah's name and get him to look in the direction of the camera. We finally accomplished getting a cute pictures. I loved every minute of getting to take him to see Santa. I loved the set up at Northlake. It looked like Narnia and Noah and I got to walk through the falling snow in the snow globe. It was awesome and Santa looked great!!! Tonight we are going to the Billy Graham library for a carriage ride, hot chocolate and lots of Christmas fun. We have lots more fun things planned for this week and great time planned with family and friends. I am so excited!!!! I will post pictures soon of our NC Christmas.

Noah Has A Love Interest

So apparently Noah has taken interest in a beautiful.....piece of furniture.
For some reason he is fascinated in hinges and knobs. But lately he has been so fascinated with them that he likes to lick on them. See for yourself.

A Christmas Story

Jeremy and I are so excited to share this holiday with our newest addition. Noah loves the Christmas lights and loves to pull on the branches. We had gotten this stocking cap for him and I could not resist getting a picture of our sweet boy in front of the Christmas tree. Jeremy and I have had so much fun shopping for Noah and picking out toys, clothes, and extra goodies for him. We have weeded through our purchases and have been trying to decided what we want to give Noah the most and taking back items he really does not need. It is so easy to go crazy when you enter a toy store or any store for that matter. I find myself spending much less money on myself and picking up things here and there for Noah. Jeremy and I are trying to be cautious and reasonable with our purchases since Noah is only 8 months old. So far, I think we have done a pretty good job considering all the many options of neat things stores have for him. I have loved sharing the holidays with Noah and I cannot believe the months have gone by so quickly with our little man. I cherish every minute!!! Happy Holidays!!

A Very Special Christmas

This is our first Christmas with Noah. He is 8 months old and we are having so much fun watching him admire the lights on the tree! We are enjoying every minute of sharing this special time with him and shopping for Christmas gifts. We are searching for the best items to put on Noah's Christmas list for Santa. Noah has been a very good boy and I am sure Santa is going to enjoy shopping for Noah this year!!! As we enjoy this special time with Noah as his parent's we want others to enjoy this time with him too. We live away from many family and friends and have been trying to find a special card to send them with pictures of Noah and our family on them. I found Shutterfly through one of my best friends blogs and I absolutely love the Holiday cards they have to choose from. I have spent hours trying to find the perfect card. They have so many great ones!!! I have narrowed it down to these and hope to make a decision in the next couple of days. Shutterfly also has great calendars and photobooks to purchase as well. I am thinking about how fun it would be to put pictures of Noah from the previous 8 months on a calendar or create an album. Our families would love this, especially Nana, Papa, Mamme and Pappe. We cannot wait to send these out and hope our friends and family will love them as much as we do!! This is such a special holiday season for Jeremy and me and we are so thankful Noah is with us this year!!!
Shutterfly has awesome deals on your photo needs. Check out the free holiday card promotion they have right now by clicking here. http://bit.ly/sfly2010

I Have My Very Own Family

Things have changed alot over the past 5 months. I will give you one guess as to why that's so. :) The past 5 months have flown by and Noah is getting bigger by the second...sometimes I seriously think so. But the other day I showed someone a picture of Beth and Noah and he told me, "You have a beautiful family." It was the first time anyone had ever said that to me. It was something that people used to tell my mom and dad. Needless to say I have to agree. I have the coolest little boy ever. Each morning he greets me with a smile and each night he says good night with one. I can look at him and see my own baby picture and it helps me to realize, even now after 5 months, that I have a son. Beth is the woman that I am in love with....yes, Beth even when we get on each other's nerves. :) No, Beth does not wake up in the mornings with a smile (What adult does?) and I don't always get to see her off tobed at night because I am up late studying...but she is my wife, and I know she loves me, and I know I love her, and she is the mother of my child and that allows me to sleep well at night. Now if she could just sleep a little better at night without worrying so much about Noah then we will all be a little more rested. :) But yes, I do have my own family even though its still hard to believe. And yes, it is a beautiful one if I do say so myself. I guess we will have to wait and see just how big this "beautiful" family gets.

So we have decided that for the next year we will cook and eat our way through Julia Child's cookbook and use this blog to document our journey.

Beth - What?! I am not doing that. That is a movie Jeremy. We are not recreating Julie & Julia.

Jeremy - Haha. I know but whenever I think about blogging I think about that movie. Haha.

Beth - Actually we are doing it because we have so many friends and family that live away from us. I hope this can be a way to keep in touch and those we love can know what is going on in our life.

Jeremy - Well I hope you know that I am going to write whatever I want to write.

Beth - Of course you are. Anyways, so here it goes....
